What Spoke to Me

Another girl amongst the crowd, hoping her life doesn't fade away, forgotten like an abandoned home she once explored in the mountains. The chipping paint on the walls say she didn't like to groom herself. The toys strewn on the floor say that her childhood was important to her. The opened books on the counter say She loved to be creative and explore her thoughts. The lacey lilac tablecloth says she had girly side. It always presents itself nicely in front of men. You like to be free says the open meadow that stands peacefully in the backyard. You want to become a doctor says the stethoscope placed neatly on the counter. The red walls remind her of how she blushes Like a rose when she becomes embarrassed. And the musty, sulfur scent reminds her of her love for antiques and anything ancient. A broken glass vase, covering the floor like confetti, Reminds her that sometimes she gets frustarted. And the wax candles in the corner Remind her that she always finds her serenity. Yes, it’s incredible how one can take anything, Anything at all, and apply it to their own life. The objects we see, the smells we breath in, Speak to us in a way that defines who we are.

Wow, nice write. Flows beautifully and made me feel nostalgic for days when I lived in the Oregon country. Thank you.
