What they called me

You asked me to write about poetry You must have asked to write about me What things move me What things change me What things make me feel this way I never knew why I rhymed Or how my words moved I just knew that this was how I said it They called me poetry They put in a system a classification Demeaned my uniqueness They called me poetry Like I was like everyone else But I’m not Her words move differently His words don’t rhyme I am especially Me I am affected and I tell you and still You call me poetry
