What they don't notice

I ask that you allow me to paint this picture .

This is the story of a small class dipped in gold .
Viewed from the outside as the elite .
But this is not the true story of our lives untold .

Nothing has ever been handed to us .
This is what people fail to see .
lions on the hill, yeah we have our moments .
But they never notice sometimes we are sheep .

We work and work day and night .
Fighting grades that may cause bad conversation .
And what is sleep, we are all awake .
Fighting tears that could be noticed the next day .

What they don't know is we rely on each other .
Look to one another as sisters and brothers .
We are our support system, we are not secluded .
We just know they won't understand and will look at us like we are foolish .

But don't get saddened for its never all frowns ,
For when they see us we always have a smile .
Regardless of the horrid night we had before .
They can't tell when we walk through the door .

We are not elite please understand .
We are a family that stand hand in hand .
Quick to run if one of us calls .
We are what you guys call a squad .

We stray from shadows and make our names known .
We stand tall even if the battle wasn't won .
We take risk and stand out we do not know fear .
Hands to the sky, we are here .

We are not elite , we have our faults .
What they don't notice , sometimes we are lost .
But no matter what happens we will fight on ,
We are not elite , but we are strong l

TRVTH

My passions are singing and writing. I cling so closely to them because it paves the path for telling my story. TRVTH is all that I speak, but it is my truth. It is hard to make sense of a mind that is clustered, so I will leave it at this!!!
