What They Don't Show About School

 Sitting around and being forced

to listen all day and not be heard

Do your work, stop goofing around

you need us to succeed in life

Did you finish in time?

Did you pass the test?

Did you please the public?

Come on keep your focus

No time for fun

No adults understand

They say they care

but about what?

Us or their pay

What did you learn in school today?

Oh nothing

Just trying to submit everything

before the deadline

The grieving, the failing,

our parents disappointed

They say its easy for us kids

But is it? Really?

Putting us to the highest standards

Do it for us!

But what about myself?

And what I want

For my life
