What they don’t know
They think it’s so easy
But they don’t understand
What you forget is never forgotten
And the past always seems to come back
The day becomes dark
The sky cries with you
As you lay there
Cold and alone
With the company of your pain
And even then
You force the pain to come
With every stroke
A mark is left
For everyone to judge
You conceal them at first
But as time passes
You lose interest
And you let your stripes hang loose
In the air
