What they expect of me
I am to become a doctor
I am to become a lawyer
I am to become whatever they want me to be
They want me to contribute to society
yet society does not want my contribution
I began my journey from the very first pages I read
I pick up a pencil or a pen
I complete every single recruirement
writing a story only found in my wildest dreams
yet my work is discrredited and overlook
Im left shook
confused
I do not get to choose
I am to be whoever they want me to be
