What A Thirst

Floating on top of your water

With full assurance

I think I have found peace

Did I really?

When will you recognize that I have fallen?

That I no longer am beside you?

I have seen you since in the womb

You looked different then

But I know you’re the same

I have become you and you in me

I shower in you day and night, day and night

It has become a routine that I enjoy

Something’s missing

Is there something missing?

We’ve been through this before

Im becoming lost in you

I stress over you

I look for a fullness in you

I come to drink and you give

But I thirst again

Still no satisfaction

What a shame it is that you’ve remembered me

I’ve thirst for you

Have you thirst for me?

I’m in love with you

Am I?

I must draw this out

He looks into my eyes and says “I need a drink”

I said “get your own drink”

Woman I am who you thirst

I’ve found my thirst eraser

Eternal.
