At what time do our poems come together

Who what where and when

So would a poet be true when asked is it harder to start writing their poems in the evening when all they can hear the thoughts with the sounds of the tick tick tick of the clock in their favorite place to express themselves onto paper. 
Many ask if it is easier for a poet to begin from the start or does it come easier in the middle or even knowing where the ending ends. 
Just as some may need a muse of some sort to help them along through tough spots during it. 
If i was to ask a simple inquiry, it would be when do you know that you are a poet.
