What We Need

I have heard of this,

Many, many times before.

But the question is what do we need?

I have heard of this,

Before,

Childhood,

We are told,

That we need riches,

That we need status,

That we need things to make us happy.

But these were only distant.

I have heard of this,

Now,

College,

We are told,

That we need to chase these things,

These things, our dreams,

That we need to somehow find what makes us happy,

Because they were not distant anymore.

Along the way,

We are told,

That we need to find our way,

Our way in life.

But how so, we ask.

The answer is everywhere.

The answer is within.

What we need is what we want.
