What We've Become

Why are we here?

What is our purpose?

Why do we live in fear

Of others thoughts towards us?

We were created for more,

Not to live in competition with each other,

But to live for the Lord,

And love all of our brothers,

Yet we've taken the purity out of life,

We've made it full of hatred,

We live in constant sorrow and strife,

Where love is always evaded,

There are ways to improve,

And ways to change,

Although no ones ever in the mood,

And they've always found it strange,

Strange to love instead of hate,

To start over,

A clean slate,

I guess sin controls our every maneuver,

And so decides our fate.
