What Will Happen In the End?

What will happen at the end? When we have destroyed everything we defend When the sun explodes in a big ball of flame And there is no one left to blame We do not know what will happen next Will there be a chorus or a final text The sky will fold in a curtain of light And swallow the shadows that cling to the night The embers will scatter and begin to fade Unraveling the world and all the mess we’ve made Then time will exhale, and release its hold As the universe rewrites this story of old The dust will settle and the stars will realign And in the quiet dark, begin to shine A blank white page in which the cosmos began Free from the ruin of the footprints of man And out of the ash, a breath will awake A quiet vibration, the silence will break No shadows of sorrow, no echoes of pain Just the pure, blank canvas and broken chain The planets will spin a newly made dance Given a second, immaculate chance A cosmic reset, a beautiful start Where nature and beauty rewrite every part
