What Will I Be

I look around I am hopeful I believe there is possiblity But to my surprise chaos is all that I see The are more black men in jail Than at a four year university. Babies have babies The new grandmother is fourty-five To me that implies something has gone terribly wrong three times Young girl, young man you are packed full of potential You should have more pride You are wourth more than what is in your pants Or what lies in between your thighs. You have a bright future regardless of what you are told You can be great Just be strong Be bold Nothing in life is given Just put forth a little work Hard maybe tedious but it has its perks Sometimes life can feel like a behemoth But you young man, young girl Remember your are worth and you can reach the zenith
