What the women of today said to the young girl

Do not follow those who came before you

Do not let your feet mimic their footsteps

Do not stay on the beaten path

Do not stand idly by as your inner power is stripped from you

Darling

You are a force of nature

You hold the world in the palm of your hand

You are fiercer than you can imagine

You are braver than you believe

They will try to take your power

They will try to square you away in a box

They will try to tame your potential

They will try to make you lesser than what you are

So wage war

Take down the wage gap

Take down the brutality of women

Take down the rape statistics

Take down their misogynistic ideas

Do not turn on your sisters

Do not listen to their lies

Do not tolerate hate

Do not divide

You are more than a pretty face

You are more than just a wife

You are more than hormonal

You are more than what they want you to be

Darling

Please continue our fight for equality

Please don't accept less than you deserve

Please stay united

Please don't lose yourself

Darling

You are an entire universe

Filled with with galaxies and a million suns

A life force all on your own

Do not let them dwindle you to any less
