What is the World?

By the looks of it, you wouldn't be able to tell that I love my Bible.
It appears to have been beaten up and thrown around.
But, hours and hours have been spent with it;
Pages and pages have been read,
And many lines have been annotated.
My Bible is where I go for reassurance.
Whether I'm praying for something to happen
Or thanking The Lord for a blessing,
There's a part of my Bible that fits the situation.
Reading scripture strengthens me,
And helps me on my faith journey.
It brings me closer to God.
When all is said and done, I may gain the world,
But my world is not complete without faith
