What a World We Live In

(poems go here) What a world we live in,  a world filled with hate, rage, and discrimination all projected towards people because of the color of their skin.  The skin we were born with and forever chosen for us like the system of cast, unable to change no matter how much we tamper with its contrast.  People all over the world of different shades and tones, yet you feel as if yours is the only one which was permanently written in stone.  Claiming that you are to all others immensely superior, and to you all others are inevitably inferior.  A great man once gathered millions of people and walked along a thin line, screaming and shouting until out of his head bulged brown lines.  Filled with burning red blood and belief that black and white are indeed the same, but would not lift a hand in violence to back that claim.  Another used his mind to enstill into the minds of his people,  we are nothing if we have no knowledge of our prequal.  We must return to our mother and ask her about ourselves, for we all cannot readthe books on the shelves.  Even members of the opposite sex have raised their voices and said nay, me and my people will have the right of choice after today.  We will not be treated as dogs with our  masters tugging away at our leashes, for we are all humans and and this the bible to all teaches.  They have poetically spoken and written about their hardships in red ink, to show opposers we are all the same inside no matter how differently you may think.  King, Garvey, Parks, all words to the untrained mind, having no understanding of what many can never leave behind.  Legendary pioneers who for more than just equality defended not only the color, but the culture of their skin, to try and better this mentally backward world we live in.
