What Would I Be
What would I be like if I wasn’t really me
Would I be loud, would I start trouble?
Who would I be?
Going around making fun of people,
The way they dress, talk, look, and think?
I would like to think that I would be better,
Better than what I’m supposed to be.
But how?
Studying, asking questions, doing work?
But that’s who I am right now,
So would I be any different?
What would I be like if I never talk to people?
Who would I go to, would I go crazy?
Would I be considered anti-social?
Staring out into the distance
Because I got no one there for me.
But that’s not me
I laugh, talk, sing, and dance with my friends and family.
Acting crazy without a care in the world,
Like we’re some kids in a jungle jim
Running around, tagging each other until our mothers call for us.
Who would I be?
What would I be?
How would I be?
Who would I be if I wasn’t really me?
I’ll still be only me, there’s nobody else I could be.
