What Would I Change?

Shattered,

like the broken mirror reflection

Backwards

perfection in pieces

and compelled to move to strange places

strangled, and panting, and panting

Demons

they bounce against my back

As I run screaming through the hallways of my mind

I run

trying to escape

From the demons

I run

Its Anxiety.

a rough, taught rope wrapped twice around my gut

Anxiety drops

and pulls them tight

And I’m wrenched.

just wrenched

Anxiety ridden.

Oh how it would be like a summer day

to shed the shattering fear

and swim in the sea

without a thought to the

demons that chased me here
