What Would I Change?
I would change my current situation,
Because every one is sad.
I'd find a way to make everyone happy
So there would be no more bad.
In my world is just depression,
Anger, chaos, distrust and breaking.
It's like a nightmare going on and on
With no chance of me waking.
Money is always tight.
I can't remember the last time we went on vacation.
Stuck in the same old town feeling the same old things;
I hate that we can't hold on to a happy situation.
I would change that
And make all the pain go away.
I'd wave my magic wand if I had one
And make it a brand new day.
Just for one moment I want the worry about tomorrow,
To be gone and nonexistent.
I want to see my family laugh and smile
And out of this depressing predicament.
I don't want us to break apart
And be made of all different shades of pain.
I want us to be like we were back then,
Otherwise I'll go insane!
If I could change the way we are right now,
If only just for a moment,
I'd do it in a heartbeat;
But I can't fix the present.
I'm no saint,
And I am not perfect.
My mind is broken too,
Maybe the problem is to reflect?
I slip, I fall, and get back up.
I wish I could do the same for us.
We're not all bad,
But I would change the sorrow, loneliness and fuss.
