What Would They Say

There is no one left for explain-tion… They are all gone, The violent end has come… Revving up since realization, Of the abstract. NO, NO, NO, NO, Hope. Another one- Love, yet another- Space well there’s a fact. So how do we…decide? On the dot of midnight demised. Quasar, no, galaxy Red-blue. Maybe the work of a gypsy. AGGressive-ly dealt with- In order to paint wilted whispers. Van Gogh would be proud! Of this wonder we allowed to be unplowed- Ab st ract. Abst raction.

When people critize your work and your passions continue to write. You have done an amazing job at that thank you for responding to my comment. I understand the complexity of the piece and how it feels to be ridiculed or looked down on because of your art and having a piece like this is always a good answer back continue writing ill look forward to reading more from you

This poem is a very sarcastic take on the way our current world views the imagination and those who delve into this realm. Here is an example, witht the lines "Van Gogh would be proud!

Of this wonder we allowed to be unplowed-" most of us allow our imagination to rot away from disuse or just not feeding it. So if you look at Van Gogh's work you will see that his imagination is fed and expressed. Our unplowed fields are shameful and if we begin to plow them our elders and society aggressively deal with that issue saying its becuase of ADHD or some mental issues. The poem is in constant flux in dealing with reality and the imagination, within the poem the speaker is playing tug-o-war with his own mind. Hopefully that helps.

As to what made me write it was my anger with the way my poetry was treated and how poets and artist in general are treated at times.
