What You Mean to Say

He says baby girl you're a dime
but is that a real thing
or a figure of imagination
He says, hey baby girl I won't waste your time
I said, isn't that what they all say

I changed up my style of loving
And it gave me a whole outlook on love
From what it means to what it's not
And what I feel I deserve
Cuz he says what I know just isn't true

He says baby girl you're only one
but is that just some kinda front
or a reason for me to find out there's others
He says baby girl you mean a lot to me
and I say is that how you cover up the lies

He says that I don't only want you for one purpose
Meanwhile all he's asking for is netflix and chill
Talking bout he's better than the next
He says baby girl I know you've been through a lot
but really do you?

He says baby girl why don't you just stay for a while
well maybe I don't want to
Should just tell the truth instead of all of the lies
He says baby girl maybe we just need a while
Cuz I wanna be with you on top of the world

He says baby girl you're a dime
But am I really
Well I don't hope you tell that to all your girls
He says baby girl I won't make you a fool
But the thing is that i know i'm to pretty for you

He says baby girl I got all the money in the world
well all that material things don't mean much to me
driving your facy car and with your fancy clothes
He says well I can get any girl that I want
Well say what you mean and mean what you say

He says baby girl
Just give me a chance cuz I'm not like those other dudes
How do I know this
Because that's what everyone else says
How do I know you really mean what you say

He says baby girl I need you
And think really do you
Cuz those tired rhymes are saying otherwise
He says baby girl I miss you
Well I don't miss you
