What you still see

What is it that makes you see,
The better side of me,
Don't you see this weak soul,
All the fires it's fueled,
I'm in a state of brokenness,
I have no holiness,
Yet you still manage to see,
The good inside of me,
The good I can't even dream of,
To me it's unheard of,
So many times I want to give up,
Bet every time I see you I light up,
You know the pain I suffer,
You know that I'm a fighter,
Yet you still see,
The good inside of me,
Sometimes I don't feel,
I wonder if I will heal,
I'm sorry I'm rotten to the core,
Is your heart still so sore?
So many thoughts in your head,
So many things left unsaid,
So many hearts left broken,
So many souls left unbroken,
Do you believe I can be reprieved,
This pain can never be relieved,
My heart has become so dark,
Don't you see all of these marks?
I can't believe how far I've fallen,
I feel almost forgotten,
But somehow you see,
The good inside of me,
I built up these walls,
Only for them to be mauled,
How do I make myself right?
Do I continue and fight?
Please have my last breath,
I don't care about my own death,
You say I need to stay,
Why can't I just fly away?
Somehow you still see,
The good left inside of me,
The world grows colder,
I always moulded,
I stand in the rain,
To swallow all the pain,
Have you ever heard a dead man speak?
The way he sounds so weak?
It's the way I sound inside,
It's what I hide outside,
But somehow you see,
The better parts of me.
