What you taught me
Love, you taught me what it was
Screams
Crashing
Broken glass on the ground
Holes in the wall
Dark bruises on my skin
Bruises that tell everyone what really happens
Bruises that I must hide everyday
In fear of the look my mother will give me
When she finally sees them
Love is the one thing that I will never be able to have
Love is pain and suffering
Crying on the ground
In a puddle of blood
Left within an inch of life
Darkness surrounding me
Love are the demons
Demons that haunt my dreams
Demons that mock me
Laugh at the naive little girl
The girl that loves to attract them
Who gives them everything including her life
Leaving her a broken and unwanted mess
You said that what we had is love,
The touching
The crying
The pain
The yelling
That is what you taught me
That is all I know
But that isn’t love
Love isn’t pain
Love isn’t suffering
Love isn’t screaming
Love isn’t blood stains that will never come out
I will have love
You lied to me
Made me feel worthless
Love is butterflies
Love is pure
Love is having someone there for you
Love is not crying alone
Love is beautiful
And you are ugly
I will find love
But not with you
I want real love
Not what you taught me
