What You've Made Me

Maybe today would be the day you looked at me The day you decided you had messed up But it was unlikely Because disasters can't be taken back And I now know hurricanes have human names Beacause on the day you landed down on the island of me I shattered With nothing left to do but damage control I suffered And no one wants to visit my heart anymore They know the wreckage you left behind They're aware of the arteries that you ripped apart Whole limbs that are out of order I am leftover land trying to rebuild itself I'm stiched over wounds But I'll heal I am looking foward but remembering to check my peripheral
