Whatever He does [He does with a reason]

Whatever He does

He does with reason

He knows all of our ends

He knows the ends of the seasons

Whatever He does

He does with a purpose

He knows just what to do

When we can only suppose

Whatever He does

He does it for a reason

He knows just how much strain you need

To make you stronger after this season

He cares not for the superficial strongface

We all like to put on

When trials come our way

It is through His strength we will walk on,

No matter what it may be

It's been allowed unto us for a reason

For only He knows the what, where, when, and why

And how much stronger we will be when we've made it through the season

Thank You, Lord

For Your mercies

Thank You, Lord, for Your strength

Thank You, Lord, for the tender mercies

That remind me it's all going to be okay,

There is an end to every dark night

And there is a reprieve to every trial

But until that day

I will be content and know

You always have a good reason

You let her into my life

You let her in for just a season

Though it caused me immense pain and strife

I know You did it for a good reason

For such a long time

I was so trapped

But from that addiction

You got me unwrapped

I would go to sleep scared

Sometimes crying on a bad night

I slept in fear though I knew You were there

And from that You made me stronger

I cannot fail to confess

Or lift my eyes Heavenward to praise

It's only on You that I have rested

You have always provided that amazing grace

Through every fire

And rampant, raging, stormy gale

I will forever and only trust in You

For my Anchor holds within the veil.
