Whether it be the love of my life

Or a tiny flax seed

Whether the world on my shoulders

Or the sun's delightful rays

The love of my life, and his beholders

In my heart, he will stay

Whatever I  need

Whether the water upon my lips

Or his necklace bead

Whether it be the warmth of the sand

Silently grazing

Or his embracing hand

The soft, sweet taste of his lips on mine
