Whatever society says I am
I am the daughter of an alcoholic
I am the daughter of a drug smuggler
I am predicted to be no good as if I will end up the same way
I am the quite kid in class who never speaks
I am labeled as the weak
I am truthfully only a victim
I'm treated as less than average
I'm looked at as an injured puppy
I'm not expected to excel in my life
I'm talked down too
I'm given this huge fight..
I used to make high averages
However Society accused me of being a cheater
Therefore I cheated myself to fit Society's standers
I played soccer for years
However Society bullied me on the field
Therefore I became a quiter
Whatever Society projects for me
That is what will stick with me
That is what will stick with the name Ashley.
However what Society doesn't disclaim
I am a child of God
I am forgiven
I am not to blame for my parents's mistakes
But the main one Society has never given...
I am a Fighter.
I am a Survivor.
I am an Example.
Whatever Society says I am
Is different from who I truly am.
