What's with all the hate?

A girl alone at a lunch table.

A huge cafeteria, with hundreds of teens.

Each one giggling and pointing fingers.

She tries to ignore it,

but instead,

starts to cry.

Walks away quickly,

as the laughter echoes behind her.

A gay man walking down the street.

Honking, yelling, and walking; people everywhere.

He is grabbed, pushed and beaten.

All he can do is wait for someone to care.

Why is it the world is so quick to crush others?

Imagine a world of acceptance.

A world where people are encouraged and uplifted.

Where no one cares what color your skin is.

Where no one cares who you choose to love.

Where people stick up for you in times of need.

This is my change.

The hate.

All of the slandering, oppressing, and hazing-

gone.

A girl alone at a lunch table.

A huge cafeteria, with hundreds of teens.

Three girls sit down next to her.

Best friends in the making.

A gay man walking down the street.

Honking, yelling, and walking; people everywhere.

He trips, is grabbed, and thanks the man who caught him.

It only takes a bit of kindness to change a life.
