what's to come
Once alone in the midnight hour, I went to seek a special power. Underneath a blue moon I was left in a world dark feeling swoon. All hope was lost and all love was gone. Love and lust combine as one, never knowing which is to come. I ran and ran far away and got stuck in the wood left at bay. Magic and wonders, gloom and fear; what is this world that I have found here?
It’s far from home and like me, only a few. Ladies in dresses, throwing their lives away, just to be with a man, they think is handsome that day. So many creatures forever unloved never knowing what’s to come. Mirror, Mirror on the wall no one is, the fairest of them all. Though I search and search I do, I just can’t find anyone like you. Never knowing what’s to come.
Opposites that find love, curses and cauldrons. A girl with hair of blonde. Talking dishes and animals. A man made out of, tin and another out of straw. This can’t be real. Should I eat or should I drink? Should I stay or should I go? Is it a dream? How will I know?
I can’t find the key to get through the door. How will I get it when I’m as small as the floor? A cat that grins and disappears into the moon. A mad man with a hat and a rabbit in a waistcoat. I know, I need to leave. But where will I go? How do I find the road that will lead me home?
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, why did you let down your hair? You could have blown up the castle and found a way that was fair. You could have been free, not confined to a man. Why did you ride with him? What did he do, was he truly good to you?
Elsa and anna, you two understand there’s nothing like sisterhood. You don’t know a man after the first date. You are gifted. Gifted it’s true. What’s to come now, will they make others like you?
