What's first can never last

So here I lay naked and changed

In the same place where I will think of you for nights to come

Wondering who cut the string that told us we were done

Young

& dumb

My friends will give me advice and then some

Judging from their un-penetrated hearts

and smooth skin whose touch has yet to be marked

Nodding as an instict because there is no one left to play my part

And the world keeps spinning, don't ask me how

With no set-dates to when you'll take your final bow

So the show goes on or life as we call it

And no older sister can prepare you for this shit

So as Earth keeps spinning so will my head

Running to catch memories of you back in bed

Only to be standstill with my clothes back on

Praying for the day that when I close my eyes

you will be gone
