What's going on

What's going on in our society

We think we can cover up the truth with some lies

We hide the pain behind a smile

Put the things we don't want to face locked away in a file

There's shootings every week on the news

This isn't the life I would like to choose

We worry about what's on our face

Rather than enjoying this beautiful place

We our killing ourselves and each other

Just take the time to love your neighbor and mother

We live behind a screen

Pretending it's the only thing we've ever seen

Are we really living how we were created to

Or are we just living like fools

While we are worshipping money

There's people begging for money

Millions are starving

While we are at home with our phones charging

I know I am talking about things people don't like to say

But I just want everyone here to see another day

Maybe there's still hope

Instead of judging everyone under a microscope

We are broken people

But I have faith that one day it will all peaceful
