What's Going On In The Hood?

One wonders

One ponders

One counters

And we correct ourselves

What’s going on in our house?

In the streets and everywhere, there are dreggy wolves

Savagely attacking dogs, cats and even owls

Yet, are there still kooky werewolves?

Anyhow, the blood of the people is flowing in the sewers

In this country, we are disgusted with the evildoers

To stay there is like facing death and its fusty devils

This explains why the dead are always wrong

Since people coming to the northern outskirts

Rarely, if ever, feel the vibes of the mournful song

And the ornery bluff of remorse

We wonder

We impose ourselves

We ponder

Then we fulminate about the veils

Of hell. Our country is fear and horror

Of misfortune, hate, corruption and theft

Yet, we must be in full strength and ardor

Even in death.
