What's Love Got to Do?

Tell me, what's love got to do with me and you? Is it love, the way I feel about you? Or is it just a form of hyped up lust Questions lilngering, trying to build up my trust What is it about you that has me feeling this way? I must admit I think about you everyday Is it the way you walk? Is it how you talk? The way it feels when your lips hit mine I want to be together, forever intertwined So baby tell me what's love got to do with it? No, it can't be love See love is just a word Just a four letter word Just something we say because we know it wants to be heard Love L-O-V-E See, it's easy to spell, easy to say But what is it? No, it can't be how I feel about you See, the way I feel about you is unimaginable, it's true I think about you all the time I often pray that you could be mine But maybe that's not what God has planned Maybe I'm supposed to be with another man And yet I just can't let you go The thought of life without you- Oh no How many times I longed for you And hoped in return you were missing me too The first thing that I think about when I wake Or before I go to sleep, I know this can't be fake This passion is out of this world How seeing you still makes my stomach twirl After knowing you for oh so long I immediately think of you when hearing a love song Oh no, I said it... Love? So could it be? Love, is it really love? I guess it really is I want to be with you forever I want to have your kids Just the thought of marital bliss You're the one I could see me spending my life with So baby now tell me again what's love got to do? Oh yea, it's that special emotion shared between me and you It's the way I dress All for you to be impressed It's the games you play Because you know I'll be there at the end of the day The love we share, it's oh so real Nobody could ever understand because it's just the way I feel But in all things, we must not fall in love For love is the ultimate gift from above But not falling All things that fall are bound to break So to prevent this, your heart I'll take To have and to hold And when I'm ready, unclothe I take your heart and I give you mine And with this our love will last to the very end of time

Just a way to express myself, the side of me that most people do not even know exists
