What's me, is always me.
The rain poured on me for years,
It wouldn't stop, it only brought tears.
It beat me 'til I was blue and black,
stabbing me in the back.
I was young so I couldn't rememeber,
but that's okay, because now I'm better.
I'm stronger than the rain,
I can't feel the pain it brings me,
because I found the sunshine,
and now my life is mine.
I can walk through life knowing that I have conquered,
since my birth mother is gone, and my father took over.
He showed me the way,
and showed me what's right.
And now I can show him that I can fight.
I am my father, I am who I am.
She showed me how I didn't want to stand.
I love him, and not she,
He is the one who made me, me.
