What's Real
I thought that if i got good grades,
Came home on time and
showed up early,
i'd be successful.
But none the less,
time has shown my education to be stressful.
When it all came to an end,
i said bye to my friends and walked away.
Walking across the stage was the hardest thing to do,
but it made me happy in a way.
It sucks to finally grow up,
you're not ready to show up,
and pay rent at the end of the month.
Bills and tuition colliding, everything is piling up.
It's all whacked out and out of order,
it's resembling a disorder.
However ,
I'll apprreciate these beginnings like they're never ending,
because thats how they feel.
I'll continue to embrace education as i struggle through it,
because it's my only way out of poverty,
and thats real.
