What's your name?

What's a name if no one ever calls you that?

What's a name if spoken in spite?

The constant correction, rejection, feels as if I'm at bat.

Would I ever cave to the slander? At best-

I might.

Disgust overflows as that name is spat.

Can't I ever do right?

Why does this hurt so bad?

Why am I still so fucking sad?
