What’s family?
The little girl watched as families passed by,
Laughter filled the air... giggles... and smiles.
Sadness inflicted upon her.
What's family?
The world’s a cruel place...
The world inflicts pain
"Daddys not coming today" her mom said.
He never came.
Her heart stopped feeling.....
Years passed..... nothing.
"Daddy's here" her mom said.
As she looked at him, anger and hate surfaced.
Time was gone.
She looked up to the sky, wondering why God let this happen.
Wondering when his promises would be fulfilled.
When she'll be that girl with a family
When her father will see her as someone.
The hole in her heart was empty and hurting....
walking with a smile, being the happy daughter because that's what she had to be.
College came.
Change came.
"Hola mamá como estas?" Her dad said.
Her dad was finally there.
That changed everything.
