When????

How did we end up here?

Where we rather discriminate and assume

Then love and rejoice 

Where young school children and teens lay dying in schools

Then learning, playing, and discovering the world

Where wars take young men and women lives 

When they should be enjoying their time 

Where people feel isolated and alone

Rather than being able to talk to their friends 

How did we end up here?

Can we pinpoint when this came into play

Was it when the internet came out

And "connecting" to people was to come easier 

Or when Hitler came into power

Or when we as a race was barely in existence 

Where is time can we blame

Our lack of kinship

Our lack of loyalty

Our lack of love

Our lack of compassion 

Where in time can we blame 

The increase in young people's deaths

Our ignorance of each other

Our hatred of one another

When in time can we say

We stopped being a part

Of something great

Of something that is new

Of the same species 

When in time can we

Bring ourselves together 

With compassion

Love

Hope

And Wisdom

When in time can we

No longer hate
