When?

Tell me birdie,

When?

When did my childhood come to a halt?

Where did the comfort of innocence and carelessness go?

Birdie, please do tell,

Does your back ache with burden when you go to sleep?

Or is sleep something as priceless as a geniune smile, nowadays?

Why do those giant figures say such meaningless things,

"You are too young!"

"Stress? Younglings are too dramatic."

My mask is cracking, birdie.

These meaningless days chip at my steel heart,

My friend Life continues to chew at my will,

Oh how the creeping numbness grows!

No longer does playing games with a black and white bear entertain me,

Motivation is a small gem in the deep, deep mine I've fallen into,

Wait, Birdie.

Why are you leaving?

Oh, you're right,

My problems are to be bottled within me,

They will only blacken those around.

But before you go Birdie,

Please answer my aching question!

Yes,

When?
