When Adam Heard

Where are you?
Where have you gone?
My child come here.
What have you done?

Beauty has turned black
The snake is put to shame
The earth forever cursed
All due in your name.

My child where do you go?
That I am not.
Where can you walk?
That is not my lot.

Your peace is with me
And your trouble has returned
Forever you will be
Until my grace is learned.

I will hold them father
Hold them for you name
In all that we do
To save them from their shame

Son I shall send you
To a land now corrupt
Bring me my child
Cover there misconduct

Father when I go
Who will stay
Father When I leave
who will we lay

I the spirit of us
Will stay and be
Whole yet unique
For men throughout me

For the children of earth
Our sprit will do
They must have faith
Until time is due

My father how long
Will that time be
That is not for you
But for me

Father when payment is due
What will it be
Eternal damnation
Of a God equal to thee

No my son
You are me
Forever I'm here
And here you shall be.

My father I know
And your name I'll keep
When temptations arise
Against him I'll speak
