When All Is Lost

Slipping into the darkness Where I never wanted to be My whole body is numb Trying so hard not to give up Thoughts are spinning Nothing is making sense I just want to be left alone But what I really need Is for someone to hold me close There is no way I can make it on my own Wouldn't wish this feeling on anyone Wanting to disappear Not seeing a purpose to go on All I can do is beg for a friend One who listens and tries to understand The worst thing for me Right now is to be told I'm overreacting Encourage me, love me As soon as you look in my eyes Recognize the pain, see through the lies I seek your help, any amount will do Without compassion I could be gone Just like that, a life can be no more
