When All Is Said and Done

A wise person once told me, That you write with your heart, So, how’s this for a start? I wanna leave here without the fear, That my life was wasted, That my smile was hidden, Because that should be forbidden, Because how much our lives cost. A life for a life, Or an eye for an eye, As each day goes by, I question myself, why, oh why? Your voice is the sound of a pen dropped. Why can’t I hear what you’re saying? Or how much you’re paying To sail away to paradise. You’re silence has never been so loud, The water whooshing by, The star kissed night sky, The wind blowing your brown hair. Man, the thought of that sounds nice, But I honestly don’t need all that. All I need is my smile and a hat, And you lying next to me no matter where at.
