When did it begin?

It all started with a blank paper My innocent young face , staring at it Unknowing which way is the top Suspense fully bringing my thick pencil to it I hesitated Then continued I wrote my name for the first time E-M-I-L-Y It was a great feeling I could communicate without speaking This began my love of writing The way i could express my feelings Anger-happiness-silliness-love-fear It all can be shown with lead or ink on a paper Without it what would i be? I would wish to be dead I'd be in a catatonic stage unable to get out Screaming in silence Everything so confusing I am grateful for this experience i had It gave me the opportunity to have a say as a little person in a big world
