when did pinky promises stop working

NO I DON'T WANT YOUR DIVINE WORDS AND SWEET FEELINGS AND I DONT WANT TO FIND YOU HIDDEN INBETWEEN THE LINES OF A BOOK I JUST HAPPENED TO PICK UP AND I DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT THE SKY AND BE BROKEN BY SOME GREATNESS

NO

I DONT WANT YOU THAT WAY BECAUSE YOU THAT WAY HAS TOO MUCH OF ME IN IT AND I DON'T WANT ME TO DO THIS, THIS IS YOUR JOB AND I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND CONJURE YOU UP FROM THE SMALL DUST YOU LEFT ON THE GROUND

NO

YOU SAID YOU WOULD ANSWER AND YOU SAID YOU HEAL AND FIX AND DEFEND SO I AM SORRY, BUT YOUR DUST IS NOT ENOUGH TO DO WHAT YOU PROMISED YOU WOULD SO PLEASE TRY SOMETHING ELSE

What is this life about if not for feeling deeply, writing strongly, and trying to find God in everything?
