When friends become fiends

Chere amie Chance,

I heard a tale that broke my heart.

Where to begin where to start.

of a love purified by sacrifice

forged in discomfort,

the metamorphoses of gneiss.

I drained, I stained this priceless vessel

yet ever open arms were there to nestle

His acts of love remained unconscious,

unconditional, incessant, unwearying.

Convinced of his allegiance

I tampered with his intelligence.

Then you happened,

a sister, an amigo, a lover of a sort.

With a heart of solid gold, you stood there, forte.

You found him in the darkness I left him in

Carefully cleansed him from my sin,

You loved him.

He smiles again, laughs again

looks forward to tomorrow again!

I, remain stuck to regrets heavy chain.

                                                                                    Ton amie, Regret.
