When I call his name,
When I call his name, he's there,
waiting patiently by the bench.
He can't wait to hear about my day,
I can't wait to hear about his.
As I listen I can't help but wonder, will we be together forever?
Will he love me unconditionally, as I know I will love him?
We talk for hours about nothing at all but I want so much more,
I want him by my side every minute of every day, through the good times and the bad.
We've had our fair share of fights, but have always worked them out
ending in "I'm sorry, I love you so much".
We may not agree on everything but we respect the other's views
because everyone thinks differently, no one is the same
He senses something's wrong, I haven't spoken in a while
It's like he senses that I need him, I never want him to leave.
As he stands up, I take in his face.
Something is happening, my heart begins to race.
He gets on one knee and brings out a ring, his eyes bright with possibility
there's a smile on my face.
Promising to love me and cherish me forever, he slides the ring on my finger.
This is what real love feels like, full of possibliliy.
