When I Could Hold You

I had a dream,

I was able to hold you,

But it was all a big scheme,

A fool I was...

to think I could ever have you.

You were never mine,

I could never be in your arms,

So I am here saying I am fine.

Thought to win you with my charms,

Thinking I could be loved,

When it is just a lie,

Out the door my love was shoved,

You left me here wondering why.
