When I die...
When I die you can find me in my grave.
I don't deserve to be amoung the sky or the dripping rain.
I'm not in the sea or the beautiful sunsets.
I'm not an animal roaming free, nor am I living through your trees.
I won't be in your beating heart since mine died,
I will not be someone who lies.
Give you hope that I'm watching through the skies.
Once I die I'm gone,
no wandering soul for your confort since no one was mine.
I'll be selfish with a wanted death,
once the beating ends in my chest.
Once my eyes shut for the last time,
a never ending slumber, a rest that was much needed will be mine.
Don't remember me through the foggy weather,
through the books I loved that you never read,
through my poems I took to bed.
Don't wonder where I am,
don't put the wilting flowers over my grave site.
Let me go in peace,
not the pieeces of your dreaded memory,
delete all the pictures in the albums and burn all of my writings.
Don't recall the happy times because I'll believe you lied.
When I die, please forget I was alive.

Your Poem's Voice
Personal suicidal ideation grounded in specific emotional experience, some philosophical questioning about afterlife.
Dense accumulation of negations, denials, and commands; multiple ideas layered throughout without pause.
Strongly negative: despair, self-rejection, death wish, nihilism, desire for erasure throughout.
Urgent, insistent voice; repetitive imperatives and negations create forceful emotional momentum.
Approximately 22 lines; falls in 16-30 line range.
Moderate ornamentation: personification (sky, rain, heart), metaphor (slumber/rest), some poetic phrasing amid declarative statements.
Pure lyric internal monologue; direct address to future reader but introspective self-focused voice.
