When I Grow Up

What do you want to be when you grow up?

this is the question that is asked of us

not WHO we will be

but

who AM I going to be?

A job? A number?

when do I even know when I grow up?

is it 16? 18? 20?

Does one ever grow up?

Sometimes I ask myself if I'll ever feel grown up

I won't

we're held up to expectations

I don't think I'll ever meet them

but I suppose thats when I'll know

what I'll be when I grow up
