When I Heard the Window Shatter
When I heard the window shatter,
You were with somebody else.
When I heard the window shatter
You tried to blame me
For your pain and your anger
Like somehow it's my fault.
Her heart is always with my own
Since that warm day in July.
Refuse justification
There's no reason for excuse.
Just spit your venom,
Her Superman's gone.
When I heard the window shatter
In the foreground of a scene
Where life was good and golden
Brotherly love put to rest.
Who are you to threaten me?
The end is so obscure.
Full of empty promises
Comparisons unfair.
Broken windows, memories.
I stare into the night.
For the sake of purple haze
Was it really worth all this?
You're not who I've known.
Bury yourself in smoke.
Who are you,
In this world around me?
Who are you,
To her?
Who are you?
I swear I can't tell.
Who are you
To me?
I am not
Who you say I am.
I am just
Myself.
Anger flows,
The sea has run red.
My promises
Are kept.
Bleed with me
I am who i am.
Wait for me;
You can be saved.
From this broken glass
I promise this is not a dream
As hazy as it seems.
Guitar corners, equine sheets,
We just do as we please.
Dragged away, lost in the night
Of vodka lips and games.
Maybe we should help ourselves
Come back him from the edge.
Take a breath we have all night
Till August comes along.
I heard the window shatter
All heaven will break loose.
I heard the window shatter
All heaven will break loose.
