When I Look In The Mirror

When I Look In The Mirror

I See  The Scar Above My Lip,

The Acne All Over My Face,

And The Patch Of Freckles On My Cheek

That Always Looks Like Dirt.

When I Look In The Mirror

I See The Fat That Jiggles

With Every Slight Movement,

My Double Chin,

And The Curves I Have In All The Wrong Places.

When I Look In The Mirror

I See The Permanent Frown

That’s Found Its Home On My Face,

The Creases On My Forehead From Years Of Worry,

And The Bags Under My Eyes From My Sleepless Nights.

When I Look In The Mirror

I Always Want To Cry,

Because I Don’t Think I’m Pretty.

In Fact,

I Think I’m Kind Of Ugly.

But I Wouldn't Change What I See

When I Look In The Mirror.

I’d Change What I Thought About What I See

When I Look In The Mirror.

I’d Change My Self-Esteem, My Self-Confidence.
